With almost 20 hours between the flight and waiting for transfer, the Venezuelan delegation composed of Leonelis Días of the FCI collective Tejiéndonos Mujeres and the person writing to you, assuming the continental representation in place of Nalu Farias, arrived in Ankara. The infinite fatigue felt after these trips quickly took a backseat when, at the airport, we began to melt into tight hugs and introductions to new colleagues. We overcame the pandemic, continued moving forward, and embraced each other again. With these small triumphs, we began our work in Turkey. The agenda of the 13th International Meeting was tight, but it balanced very well in getting to know the city of Ankara, its people, and its cultural legacy. Everything was new for us, from the autumn climate we had not experienced in our tropical country to the experience of sharing with colleagues as far away as those from Asia and Oceania. Reaffirming after four days of work that our organization continues to guide its actions from its position as a feminist and popular movement that confronts capitalism, imperialism, racism, and colonialism is very important for us as women of a people that has striven to put other forms of democracies, of exercises of popular power, are underway and that proposes communal feminism. The news of Nalu's farewell filled us with sadness, but, at the same time, it forced us to renew our commitment to popular feminism for Nalu and for all those colleagues who have put their lives into building the other world that is possible. We will continue to carry out the task entrusted to us. We are growing, and the meeting updated our commitments to the movement. In our meeting, we shared the context analysis and other results and agreements of the meeting, in addition to territorializing with our own experiences. We agree entirely that street mobilization must be essential for denunciation and demonstrations of solidarity, and we believe that being on the move is also about the organization in the communities, ongoing training, recreation of the political subject of our movement, and articulation of alliances. The experience of international meetings of the WMW is constantly revitalizing in the words of Leonelis, the 13th meeting “showed the organizational potential and feminist strength. When the subjects in charge of most of the actions reproduce and sustain life, dialogue, recognize differences (of language, culture, perspectives), and join forces in favor of transforming the reality expressed in their communities, "It shows the potential we have." For Leonelis, struggles confined to the merely local are counter-revolutionary, so feminist internationalism is both a necessity and a duty for this young woman. "Participating in this meeting nourishes that principle, that weaving between women that we have been building based on the experience of communalizing life, showing solidarity, and fighting for wellbeing."
