The Quebec coordination took to the streets in all regions of Quebec, to commemorate the International Day of Women's Rights with the slogan Feminist Resistances. There were marches, round tables, and actions to affirm loud and clear that “Until all women are free, we will march.” In the city of Quebec, we organized a batucada workshop to inspirit the march of M8. A great success! The coordination of the Quebec World March of Women is very involved in the organizing of April 24, investing energy into the formation and call to action. Around this, it is editing an educational flyer about popular feminism which it will distribute among its groups and thus make the information reach the entire membership. This formation course will analyze how neoliberal globalization uses the textile industry as a case study to raise awareness about its environmental and social repercussions. As far as the action, in coalition with other community and union groups, it's calling for a great national mobilization to demand the adoption of a law of reasonable diligence for Canadian companies abroad. That is, a binding legislation that prevents human rights and environmental abuses outside of as well as within Canada. No more impunity for transnational corporations! Be it the textile industry, mining, or war, our lives are worth more than their profits!
