The activities of March 8 in Perú revolved around decrying the dictatorship established this past December 7 and around the organizing, resistance, and fight for a true democracy for the people. The WMW Macronorte began its activities for March 8 with the Women's Popular Assembly in Lambayeque on March 4. These boasted the participation of “Women United Make One Force” from Mórrope, Moshikas Diversas, Feminist Actions (CAFEM), among other organizations, where they agreed on the planning of actions during the March 8 mobilization, to both sustain the fight and strengthen popular power in the context of dictatorship and repression. The creation of popular political schools is highlighted as a main agreement among the masses. The Macroregional and Northeast Assembly was simultaneously being held in Piura, where the delegation of the WMW Macronorte made a declaration and proposed the organic representation of diverse women and youths in the speakers and directives of Macroregional, which must consolidate if it wants to concretize the political processes of deep change and of constituent popular assemblies that make themselves heard through chants and demands. Nonetheless, the gathering of women took place for the fight of our territories and sovereignty in coordination with united organizations of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, on March 7, 2023, at 4pm. Around 50 women participated, neighborhood leaders of different organizations, and we enjoyed a dialogue about the current context of the country, our political positions as women and our proposals toward processes of constituent popular assemblies. The gathering closed with an artistic presentation by Sikuris. On March 8, there was a call to mobilize under the slogan “Working dissident women against the dictatorship and for the Constituent Assembly”. We concentrated in the civic plaza of the José Leonardo Ortiz district Chiclayo, where we declared ourselves a national insurgence against the Dina government, the ministers, and the congress behind the coup. The main demands of the mobilization were: Justice for our siblings murdered in the protests, justice for the more than 30 femicides and 4 hate crimes against trans sisters. In the streets we heard cries of DINA QUIT, URGENT CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY, DOWN WITH THE DICTATORSHIP AND THE STATE OF EMERGENCY, DOWN WITH THE CIVIL-MILITARY REPRESSION, DINA MURDERER – WOMEN CONDEMN YOU. In the second seizing of Lima, we participated in the mobilization for March 8, which took place on March 11. The gathering was in Washington Park at 3pm, the WMW Macronorte Perú mobilized along with the block of regions, along with the Southern sisters and the sisters of the international feminist delegation of Abya Yala. In the block, banners waved with messages like: DOWN WITH THE DICTATORSHIP, DINA QUIT, NO MORE DEATHS, URGENT CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY, IN DEFENSE OF OUR BODIES, WATER, LAND, AND TERRITORY.
