Feminist Peace
In the United States, the Alliance for Grassroots Global Justice Alliance is supporting the development of a Feminist Peace Initiative driving efforts to fight militarization inside and outside the United States and implement a feminist and intersectional foreign policy. - Stop selling arms and providing unconditional military aid to Israel, allowing their violent attack on the Palestinian people. Recently, while Palestine was under Israeli attack from airstrikes, the Biden administration approved another $735 million arms sale to Israel. The alliance supports the efforts to block this arms sale introduced by progressive representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Mark Pocan, Rashida Tlaib and senator Bernie Sanders.
- Support efforts such as the legislation introduced by congresswoman Betty McCollum, that would prohibit Israel from using U.S. funds for plans and programs that violate or may violate human rights in Palestine, such as the military detention of children or the demolition of Palestinian homes.
- Speak out to condemn Israel's brutal attacks on the Palestinian people, highlighting the specific impacts of this violence on women, children and families, and calling for an end to Israeli occupation and apartheid.
