Brazil takes to the Streets to Denounce the Genocidal Government.

On May 29, Brazil rose in a wave of demonstrations demanding "Bolsonaro Out", vaccines for the entire population and the maintenance of emergency aid. Bolsonaro and his government have driven the spread of the new coronavirus in Brazil and the increased precariousness of the lives of women and black and working people, who suffer from hunger, unemployment and neglect. Despite the lack of coverage by the national hegemonic media, more than 200 Brazilian cities in 26 states and the Federal District came together in the street actions against the government, in addition to receiving support on the streets in 14 countries. The feminist presence of the World March of Women in the capitals and countryside of the country was registered and published on the movement social media, a collective practice of feminist and popular communication.

During the mobilization in São Paulo, comrade Sarah De Roure of the WMW made the following speech:

"We are the same ones who are called crazy in Colombia, for being on strike for more than a month. We are the same ones who occupy the streets and the parliament in Chile. We are the same ones who legalize the right to abortion in Argentina. We, who have been called crazy, say that they are crazy, they who commit genocide! Because if those of us who dream are crazy, yes, we are all crazy: those of us who dream of re-founding Brazil, because we know that we are in a process of daily political struggle that will end in victory…

It is a dispute to which we have responded with organized solidarity. If they cut back on welfare policies, we respond with community kitchens. If they increase unemployment, we organize support networks. And this is how we are building the victory of the Brazilian people against the genocide of Jair Bolsonaro. This is how we will build the impeachment of Jair Bolsonaro. Look for a second: this man, woman, Black, fighter. This is the face of the defeat of Jair Bolsonaro. We will defeat fascism in Brazil! In the streets, by the organization of women, Blacks and workers. Bolsonaro Out!"
