Feminist Space Berta CáceresDuring the 24H the Feminist Space Berta Cáceres @espaciofeministaBC expressed its solidarity with women around the world by dedicating all its publications this day to highlight, during this time of confinement, the challenges faced by women, and the importance of care-work. This kind of work is framed in “women’s time,” as invisible tasks that reclaim wisdom, patience, love, and energy. It is a time that incorporates aspects that are much more tangible, which are represented by subjectivity, and are materialized in lived experience.
The Espacio Feminista Berta Cáceres is an initiative of the feminist network Ethics and Politics from the Women’s Movement, articulated by the research group “Latin America: Social Philosophy and Axiology” (GALFISA) of the Institute of Philosophy of Cuba since 2011. It has had the participation of Cuban organizations, institutions, and experiences that deploy processes of formation and training in gender, women, and feminism. We have sessions such as the Workshop on Emancipatory Paradigms, and Women’s Tribunals Against Patriarchal Violence. From the Espacio Feminista, we deepen on the experiences of the social movements by incorporating into the debate topics such as capitalism and patriarchy; feminism and socialism; identity and diversity; daily life and sexuality; production and the sustainability of life. |
