Concepcion Oviedo Substitute Member for the Region to the International Committee
Writing about Nalu continues to be a challenge; it is still inevitable to shed a few tears for her physical departure and, at the same time, smile because it has been a true privilege to share with a fellow Popular Internationalist Feminist who, with her example of militancy, has taught us to march from commitment, discipline, and tenderness.
At the same time, she bequeathed us the importance of political training from theory to practice, organizing ourselves, and politically building a society free of violence, a society in which women organize themselves based on feminist class proposals. Solidarity with the people was another of Nalu's characteristics: looking beyond what could be observed to analyze possible political scenarios, always bringing reflections and political proposals that aim at integration, encounter, and dialogue where working-class women have an active and participatory space as political subjects.
In various territories and corners of the world, we will multiply like seeds that will carry the learning about Popular Feminism, Feminist Economy, Solidarity of peoples, and Internationalism.
Today, we know, and we are convinced that we will continue doing the task; we will continue marching until we are all free.
